Is there anything more satisfying than finding the perfect nude? I don't think so either.
Like most these days, I have my go-to nudes that come with me everywhere. Sure three lipsticks, four lip liners and a lip gloss coming everywhere may seem excessive to some, but I can always find room for more.
I've only tried a couple of liquid lipsticks; Anastasia, of course and L'Oréal, and to be honest, they haven't made it to my nude rotation. Anastasia for example I was really excited to try but due to the matt finish, I found them really uncomfortable and drying. After a few hours they look chalky and all I wanted to do was give my lips a good scrub and slap on some balm.
So given this, despite loving the concept of a matt liquid lipstick as matt is my favourite finish, I couldn't really justify bothering to ship over the alternative offering from Kat Von D via Sephora. Lucky for me though I have friends who travel, so I was pretty excited when that BAE Grace came home from the states and surprised me with this; the Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick in Bow 'n' Arrow.
I hadn't heard too much about the shade at that point so had no expectations, but it looked like it could fit in pretty snuggly with my other nude favs...as long as the formula suited.
And it totes does, I'm not sure what Kat has done to make this so much more comfortable than other formulas but it works. It applies really easily from the applicator so no mess and a crisp lip line with basically no effort, and dries down to a matt finish without feeling like you've got a clay mask on. I personally love to pair this with my Rimmel Cappuccino Lip Liner and a dab of NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine just to take any chalky edge off.
