Barry M Nail Paint in Mushroom, Dior Nude Lipstick in Trench
Autumn is well and truly here and in makeup, this usually means the introduction of deep berry tones for lips and nails. And whilst this is a trend I do particularly enjoy, throughout the summer I embraced being 'in the nude' something very unheard of for me. Nude nail polishes sure, but lips? never. This is because I had never found the right nude but upon discovering my beloved Topshop shades Nevada and Desert it was all change.
And for those of you who just can't quite bring yourself to embrace a bold berry never fear, a nude can be just as vamped up. I've gone for richer shades of brown with my nudes for Autumn and these are my current favourites.
I've spoken about the Dior Nude Lipstick in Trench over on my Youtube channel and I really cannot get enough of this beautiful product. Not only is the shade perfect for this time of year but the formula is just so moisturising and nourishing, it's a great option for everyday. Banish those dry lips as you can reapply this hour after hour with no flakiness whatsoever.
Barry M Nail Paint in Mushroom is an old classic and once again, the perfect shade for Autumn not to mention it perfectly compliments the Dior lipstick. I slick this on for work or play and feel it really adds a subtle sophistication without making too much of a 'vampy' statement like a dark berry would.
So all in all, nudes are very much here to stay for AW12...and basically forever now I know how to work it!
How nude will you go for Autumn?
Until the next post!
