Happy Mother's Day!

Just thought I'd give you a sneak peek at what I got the Mother for Mother's Day. As of a few months ago I became a Lush convert! Now if you read my previous post on an event I went to with Lush you would've seen I was not too complimentary, well, I wasn't horrible but there were barely any products I liked, it was really only lip stuff I was bothered about. But I will go into my Lush intervention in another post, the point of this is, I thought I hated Lush, I found out I don't, now I wana convert everyone!!

First stop, the Mother, she had the same impression of Lush that I did, overwhelming smell and too many stinky, messy bath bombs, no need! So I thought with it being Mother's Day what better occasion to shower her with Lush gifts.

So here's what I chose and why!

Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder - Nancy's pretty old school, she loves talc so this was a clear and easy choice that I thought I can't go wrong with, if she'll like anything from my picks it has to be this!

Dreamtime Bath Melt - I wasn't even gona bother with a bath bomb as I know she wouldn't give it a chance so when I saw these bath melts I thought fab! She loves a bath, espesh on a Sunday evening and as these look like bars of soap, again, nothing too daunting. I also couldn't resist that it was called Dreamtime, relaxation in it's best form.

Aqua Marina Fresh Facial Cleanser - This is perhaps the most daring of my picks, Nancy's current cleansing routine has and always will consist of Dove soap and water followed by a slap of Olay...as a beauty addict this is a crime, perhaps not the Olay part but soap and water? I can't stand back and let this keep happening. So as a way of introducing a better cleanse I thought, break her in with a Lush soap alternative. I went for the Aqua Marina as it was the most familiar of all in terms of texture and perhaps colour, all the others are quite exfoliating and rather daunting in colour, either bright green, poo brown or even black! Not great for Nance. It's also quite gentle so she should get on with it in terms of no irritation to the skin.

So there you have it! We spent the day waltzing around Southbank before stopping for a bite to eat, I wish I had some jazzy Instagram pics but I'm currently rolling with the first phone ever made thanks to a drunken New Years Eve iphone loss incident...I mourn the loss everyday.

How did you spend your Mother's Day and what are your favourite Lush products?

Until the next post!

Love, love, love,
