If you read my previous Nars post you’ll know I’m not a massive Nars devotee, not because I don’t like it but it really is luxury to me in terms of price and I’m fine with MAC to be honest. But I was given a couple of eye shadows that I absolutely fell in love with and I have been getting more and more interested in the Nars of late, especially this Holiday collection.
So I decided to sign up for the newsletter and am sooooooo glad I did as I got a cheeky email saying ‘receive a free 8ml Orgasm illuminator with your first order’. It’s as if they knew who they were talking to and were thinking, we’re on to an easy sale with this one, just mention something free and I’m yours!
So I decided to treat myself to the Nars highlighting blush powder in Miss Liberty from the current Holiday collection. I’m quite obsessed with highlighters and have been intrigued by the Nars one for quite sometime, but the Albatross tone just seemed far to white for me. When I saw Miss Liberty it had a slight pinky tinge and just looked so much more wearable for my skintone, that with offer of a free Orgasm and I was sold!

As soon as I ripped open the packaging I was so excited!! The highlighter was just as I imagined. A pinky toned powder with large, but quite fine, gold flecks. It reminds of one of my all time favourtie highlighters which is a MAC one called Belightful but I actually prefer this one has it’s so much finer in consistency. The only way I can describe it is like really finely milled sand, so fine and the gold flecks just subtly catch your eye, almost like how a diamond shimmers when you shine a light through it and when applied to the skin it just looks gorgoeus. The way it glints in the light reminds of fine speckles of rain in a puddle if that makes sense, like a million tiny shimmers of glitter with each turn. It’ so subtle on the skin you don’t even look as if you’ve applied anything at all, it’s as if your skin just has a natural dewy sheen- per…fect.

I’m not sure if these pictures are showcasing it in the best way, as in it may not look much different to any other highlighter but it really is one of the best and if you’re in the market for one…this is it.
I really love the Orgasm illuminator as well, it looks really pink in the tube but comes out really sheer, almost water like in consistency again adding a subtle sheen to the skin instead of a definite highlight. This would be great mixed into foundation for a subtle summer glow.
It’s official I am a Nars convert!!!
Until the next post love, love, love
